Inlays and Onlays at Streitz Dental

Inlays and onlays are used to restore teeth that are missing a significant amount of tooth structure where a filling would not be strong enough and a crown would require removal of more natural tooth than necessary. 99% of inlays and onlays that we restore are made out of a solid block of porcelain called e.max®. The restorations are designed on a computer and are milled by a machine for a highly accurate fit. These can often be better than fillings because the fit and contour can mimic natural tooth more easily and can have higher long-term success rates.
